Brett Beltrame, PT, DPT, ATC, COMT
(Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer)
Brett Beltrame’s journey into physical therapy began from a personal experience with injuries as a child. At the time, he thought his injuries were serious, but now with a deeper understanding of the body and treatment, he recognizes they were fairly minor. However, that experience sparked his lifelong passion for science, the human body, and a desire to help others.
Brett’s educational journey began at Iowa State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. There, he had the opportunity to work with multiple sports teams, including Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Volleyball. His dedication led him to a training camp internship with the San Diego Chargers, solidifying his commitment to sports medicine.
Continuing his education, Brett attended the University of Iowa for Physical Therapy School, where he further honed his skills and knowledge. With 17 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, Brett has worked with both hospital-affiliated and private practice settings, providing care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries.
After spending time in corporate physical therapy groups that prioritized volume over individualized care, Brett became concerned with the environment and its impact on patients and other physical therapists. He took it upon himself to create a space where patient care is the top priority—where financial concerns do not overshadow the needs of the individuals seeking treatment. This led to co-founding PhysioKC Physical Therapy, where Brett and his team are committed to providing a personalized, high-quality care experience for every patient.
Brett’s approach to physical therapy is rooted in empathy, expertise, and a relentless focus on patient well-being. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking to improve overall function, Brett is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals in a supportive and professional environment.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys cheering on his favorite sports teams, including the Iowa State Cyclones, Royals, and Chiefs. He also enjoys playing and watching golf, and cherishes spending quality time with his wife, son, daughter and goldendoodle.
